Job Description

Position Title: Kitchen Lead

Reports To: Project Manager & Front of House Lead in absence of Project Manager

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Project Manager the Kitchen Lead will consistently execute the standards of FruitCraft. They will contribute to directing our offerings based on consumer and member feedback. The Kitchen Lead is expected to follow all FruitCraft policies, prioritize the company during working hours while being a positive and supportive team member. FruitCraft is currently a one person kitchen and the Kitchen Lead will need to be available Wednesday through Sunday, open to close. Refer to the website for our hours. This position comes with regular overtime opportunities. Extra hours come with catering style events when FruitCraft services weddings or other parties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Follow and execute FruitCraft back of house policies.
Possess knife skills.
Has experience in fast paced kitchen environments.
Willing to wash dishes.
Ideally has experience cooking for catered events.
Complete all opening, closing and daily assigned tasks.
Keep kitchen organized and clean, free of personal products except for prepared foods for the week.
Monitor, re-order and stock kitchen inventory.
Comply with all health/safety requirements.
Ensure equipment is properly operated and maintained.
Train new back of house staff on products made and service standards.
Develop new menu items with the support of management.
Notify management of any complaints or accidents.
Maintain a fun and safe atmosphere for customers.
Obtain a Food Handlers card.
Ability to work and serve people of diverse backgrounds.
Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel; able to carry 40 or more pounds of supplies.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Willing to operate company car.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Compensation and Benefits

$15-19/hr DOE
24 hours or 3 sick days per year.
2 wine bottles per week to take home when in good standing with company.
