Position Title: Part-Time Cook
Reports To: Project Manager
FruitCraft is looking for a motivated individual to join our employee owner team! Applicants must have open availability during business hours and be able to handle busy periods with ease.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Project Manager the Part-Time Cook will consistently execute the standards of FruitCraft. They will contribute to directing our offerings based on consumer and member feedback. The Part-Time Cook is expected to follow all FruitCraft policies, prioritize the company during working hours while being a positive and supportive team member. Extra hours come with catering style events when FruitCraft services weddings or other parties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Follow and execute FruitCraft back of house policies.
Possess knife skills.
Has experience in fast paced kitchen environments.
Some experience cooking for catered events.
Complete all opening, closing and daily assigned tasks.
Keep kitchen organized and clean.
Monitor, re-order and stock kitchen inventory.
Comply with all health/safety requirements.
Ensure equipment is properly operated and maintained.
Train new back of house staff on products made and service standards.
Notify management of any complaints or accidents.
Maintain a fun and safe atmosphere for customers.
Possess a Food Handlers card.
Ability to work and serve people of diverse backgrounds.
Transport 40 or more pounds of supplies.
Work mornings, nights and weekends.
Be proactive in all functions of the roll.
Communicate regularly, tactfully and professionally.
Work as a collaborative team player.
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
Flexibility with day to day tasks.
Ability to make decisions for the better good of FruitCraft.
Excellent knowledge of company products/history and trends in craft.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent knowledge of food pairings.
Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays in a fast paced environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
